THIS is the spectacular view that forms part of what could just be the Illawarra's best job offer.
Wollongong City Council is looking for a "proactive, customer-orientated and organised person" to become their new pool superintendent, and this waterside residence at North Wollongong's Continental Pool comes as part of the package, along with a decent pay packet and an outdoor lifestyle. The council's aquatic services co-ordinator Peter Wilson said that job seekers had until December 6 to apply for the position, but warned the role was not all beer and skittles."The job involves living on site and the location is fantastic, but it does have its ups and downs," Mr Wilson said."The pool opens at 6am and closes at 7pm and the job would also involve looking after all the pumps."Mr Wilson said the $1000-a-week job would suit someone "who understands the aquatic environment".He expects both council staff and external applicants to apply.
